The conservatory-style room lacked privacy!!! Unregulated shower temperature and automatic outdoor lights are frustrating details that definitely need addressing!!! Consider improving the bathroom's wetness situation by installing a curtain!!!

it made my trip to ballina a brilliant experience. everything was great from the staff to the room, exceptionally comfortable bed and tidy room. the personnel were fabulously friendly and excellent and made me feel welcome. the location was comfortable and perfect - next to restaurants and pubs. it was located 15 minutes walk from the downtown.

Consider requesting a shower cap to avoid wet hair. The shower operates on a push button without temperature control.

My double room had modern conveniences, including a lounge and tea/coffee. The location was perfect and convenient, next to the outskirts of Ballina, the restaurant and pub. It also was in the middle of the city...

The location's a bonus, but could do with more hanging space in the room. Loved the delicious breakfast, heaps of options. Definitely a highlight!

The bathroom was an interesting experience as it had a wet room shower that worked well despite the possible mess it could create. What I appreciated the most was the fantastic breakfast the next morning. it was surely a highlight of my stay. I spent time in the communal area, which was cozy and perfect for a bit of relaxation after exploring the local attractions. The location made it easy to access nearby sites like Saint Muredach's Cathedral and the Jackie Clarke Collection, enhancing my stay significantly.

Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, with an excellent communal area for relaxation, along with free parking and good dining options, made our one-night stay enjoyable considering the location is just 40 km from the nearest airport.

Immaculately presented rooms with attentive service

The attention from the owner and staff was excellent throughout the evening, and I thoroughly enjoyed the excellent BBQ ribs for dinner. The breakfast was very good with a good array of options. My only concern was the traffic noise from the nearby busy road waking me up around 7am.

The food here is nothing short of really good, with every bite bursting with flavor. Gillian, in particular, we felt welcome and comfortable throughout our visit. The evening meal was good, and breakfast options were plentiful and delicious.

The Merry Monk is a newly decorated hotel located in a lovely area, conveniently situated next to a restaurant and a pub, on the outskirts of Ballina. Our bedroom was quite nice, featuring a lovely bed and a well-equipped bathroom. The location is perfect, allowing for a short walk to all the places we needed to visit.
